Each spring, our students, along with their favorite grandparents, aunt, uncle or “special person” celebrate CSW Grandparents Day. In the morning, our special guests share breakfast and learn about our academics and strong volunteer base. A trip to the third floor showcases our STEM technologies (3D printing and holograms) and includes a visit to our Nanotechnology Lab and Pump Lab demonstrations.
How can CSW Grandparents and Special Persons Get Involved at CSW?
Make a donation to celebrate your grandchild or special student. You can make a donation online or download a Grandparents Donor Card here.
Become a Guest Lecturer
If there is a subject you are passionate about or you are an expert in your field (engineering, chemistry, law, medicine, etc.) and would like to advise students about “the ins and outs” of your career, email Ms. Donna Urban at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Consider In-Kind Gifts
If you work or are retired from a company that donates surplus lab equipment or glassware, office furniture or office supplies, let them know about The Charter School of Wilmington. Call Ms. Donna Urban at 651-2727 (203) or email her at Durban@blogs.running-contacts.com if you come across or hear about surplus items that CSW students can benefit from.
Provide Internships/Summer Jobs
If you work or are retired from a company or small business that is looking for summer interns (paid or volunteer) or summer staff – we have the best students for you. Call Ms. Donna Urban at 651-2727 (203) or email her at Durban@blogs.running-contacts.com if you have any internship or summer job opportunities.
